Every Path Here Deserves a Home

We partner with referral sources to place adults who need more than a bed — people who need structure, community, and someone genuinely invested in seeing them flourish.

Recovery

Individuals stepping out of treatment who need a structured, accountable sober living environment with community, coaching, and a real next chapter — not just a room.

Re-Entry

Justice-involved adults rebuilding their lives after incarceration, who need stable housing, accountability structures, and a supportive community to prevent recidivism.

Transitional Housing

Adults navigating a major life transition — job loss, health crisis, or housing instability — who need a stable foundation and a structured path toward independence.

Veterans

Veterans navigating PTSD, TBI, substance use, or re-integration who thrive in a structured home environment with peers who understand service, sacrifice, and resilience.

Survivors of Domestic Abuse

Women and men leaving unsafe situations who need more than a shelter — a calm, dignified home with supportive structure as they rebuild confidence, safety, and independence.

Professionals & Executives

High-functioning individuals seeking discreet, private recovery in a dignified home environment — away from institutional settings, with the privacy their career requires.

Our homes are not facilities. They are real houses in real neighborhoods — thoughtfully designed, beautifully maintained, and intentionally kept small so that every resident is known, seen, and cared for.

Homes Built Where Life Happens

We don't place people in isolated, out-of-the-way facilities. Our homes are in real neighborhoods — close to the services, transportation, and community resources that make daily life practical and forward-moving.

When someone is rebuilding their life, proximity matters. Being within reach of a bus line, a grocery store, a courthouse, or an employer isn't a convenience — it's part of the foundation. We site our homes intentionally, so that residents can move through the world independently from day one.

Public Transportation
Bus lines and transit stops within easy walking distance so residents can get to work, appointments, and programs without a car.
Grocery & Everyday Stores
Supermarkets, pharmacies, and daily essentials nearby — supporting independence and making it easy for residents to manage their own needs.
Courts & Probation Offices
Convenient access to courthouses and probation offices — critical for re-entry residents meeting check-in requirements and legal obligations.
Gas Stations & Errands
Practical daily needs within reach — because the small things add up, and we want residents focused on growth, not logistics.

The Right Environment for Every Journey

Each of our homes is shaped around the people living in it — not the other way around. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all. We believe in the right fit, the right culture, and the right community.

Recovery & Sober Living

The final step before permanent housing — for clients who have completed treatment, are maintaining sobriety, and are ready for a structured, accountable home as they rebuild.

  • On-site house lead & structured house culture
  • Regular drug testing & clear accountability standards
  • Close coordination with existing case workers & programs
  • Community resource connections (food banks & local services)

  • Case management coordination

Faster Than Waitlists

Private operator model means quicker placements than state programs. We move at the speed your clients need.

Your Clients Deserve a Real Home, Not a Wait

We built Summit Path Homes because we genuinely care about seeing people flourish — and that heart shows in how we operate. We have availability when you need it, we hold our residents accountable in a culture built for growth, and we communicate with our referral partners the way partners actually should: honestly, promptly, and with real follow-through.

We don't over-stack rooms or chase occupancy numbers. We keep our homes smaller and more intentional — because we know that when the environment is right, the culture follows. And when the culture is right, people grow. Every person who walks through our doors is someone we're genuinely rooting for.

We're actively growing. When we see a need in a community, we move to meet it — opening new homes quickly so your clients have real options, not waitlists.

Invested
We genuinely want to see every resident flourish. You'll feel that difference from the first call.

We work with a wide range of referral partners including hospital discharge planners, social workers, case managers, substance use treatment programs, probation and parole officers, courts, regional centers, veteran services organizations, and domestic violence agencies. If you are working with an adult who needs structured, supportive housing, we encourage you to reach out — we are here to help determine if our homes are the right fit.
We respond to all referral inquiries within one business day. From there, the timeline depends on the client's needs and our current availability. As a private operator, we are typically able to move faster than publicly managed waitlists. Once we complete our intake assessment and confirm placement eligibility, we work with your team to coordinate a smooth move-in. Urgent placements are handled with priority whenever possible.
To begin the intake process, it is helpful to share a brief summary of the client's background, their current living situation, the type of support they need, any relevant diagnoses or history, and your contact information. We never require a complete file upfront — a phone call or short referral form is enough to get started. We are committed to gathering information in a way that respects client dignity and privacy at every step.
Yes — transparent communication with referral partners is a core part of how we operate. With appropriate client consent and in compliance with all applicable privacy laws (including HIPAA where relevant), we provide regular progress updates, coordinate care with your team, and keep you informed about significant changes in your client's status. We believe ongoing partnership is essential to good outcomes, and we make it a priority to stay in contact throughout the placement.
Absolutely. Many of our strongest referral relationships were built before the first placement ever happened. We welcome conversations with agencies, treatment programs, courts, and social service organizations who want to understand our homes and programs so they are ready to refer when the need arises. Contact us to schedule an introductory call — we are happy to share information about our programs, eligibility criteria, and the referral process at any time.
Our homes are real residential houses in real neighborhoods — not institutional facilities. Residents have private or semi-private rooms and share common spaces like kitchens and living rooms with a small number of housemates. Daily life is structured and intentional: residents follow house agreements that support accountability, participate in community activities, and are encouraged to pursue employment, education, or other goals. House leads are present to provide support, guidance, and a consistent sense of community.
Family contact is generally encouraged as part of healthy support systems, and we recognize that strong family relationships can play an important role in long-term success. Specific guidelines around visits and communication may vary depending on the program type and the resident's individual support plan. For programs serving domestic violence survivors, additional safety protocols are in place to protect resident privacy and location. We work with residents, their support networks, and referral partners to develop contact guidelines that are appropriate and safe for each individual.
We address issues through a structured, graduated approach focused on support and accountability before discipline. When a resident is struggling, we work with them — and with their referral partner or case manager where appropriate — to understand what is happening and adjust their support plan. Clear house agreements are reviewed with every resident at intake so expectations are known from day one. In situations where a resident's behavior creates a safety concern for themselves or others, we follow defined protocols to address the situation appropriately, which may include contact with the referral agency or, in serious cases, discharge from the program.
Length of stay varies by program and by individual need. We offer short-term, medium-term, and longer-term placements depending on the client's circumstances and goals. Our focus is always on supporting residents in building toward independence — we work with each person and their support team to develop a plan that reflects realistic, meaningful next steps, including transition planning when the time is right.
We serve adults (18 and older) who are navigating significant life challenges and who can benefit from a structured, community-based living environment. Our programs are designed for individuals in recovery from substance use, those re-entering society after incarceration, adults in transitional life circumstances, veterans, and survivors of domestic abuse. We consider each referral individually — eligibility is determined through our intake assessment process, which looks at the person's needs, goals, and whether our home environment is the right fit for them at this time.
Yes. Our Transitional & Re-Entry program is specifically designed for justice-involved adults rebuilding their lives after incarceration. We evaluate each individual based on their current circumstances, support needs, and readiness for structured community living — not solely on their prior record. We review each case individually, and certain offense histories may affect eligibility based on the safety needs of the home and other residents. We are committed to providing fair, individualized assessments in compliance with applicable fair housing and non-discrimination requirements.
We provide structured housing with support — not clinical treatment. Our homes are staffed by house leads who provide day-to-day guidance, accountability, and community. We coordinate closely with residents' existing service providers (case managers, counselors, parole officers, and others) but we are not a licensed clinical treatment facility. Residents in recovery who require clinical support continue to receive those services through their existing providers while living with us. We focus on what we do well: providing a stable, accountable, and caring home environment that makes everything else possible.
Our recovery and sober living homes operate in compliance with applicable California state and local regulations governing shared living residences. We operate as a structured sober living environment and follow best practices for accountability, house agreements, and resident support. Specific licensure and certification status varies by location and program type. Please contact us directly for information about the regulatory status of a specific home, as requirements and our compliance standing may differ by county and program.
We operate homes across multiple California counties. Our homes are sited intentionally — in real residential neighborhoods, near public transportation, grocery stores, employment centers, and other community resources that support daily independence. We do not publicly list specific home addresses to protect resident privacy and safety, particularly for programs serving domestic violence survivors. Please contact us to discuss location availability in the county or region relevant to your client's needs.
We intentionally keep our homes small. Our model is built on the belief that genuine community — where every resident is known, seen, and supported — only works at a human scale. Smaller homes mean residents are not anonymous; house leads know each person's name, story, and goals. The specific capacity of each home varies, but our focus is always on maintaining an environment where meaningful relationships and real accountability are possible.
Accessibility features vary by property. We are committed to working with referral partners and prospective residents to identify a home that meets their physical accessibility needs. If a client has specific accessibility requirements, please let us know at the time of referral — we will do our best to match them with an appropriate home or provide honest information if we cannot accommodate their needs at this time. We are committed to complying with all applicable fair housing and accessibility laws.
Our homes are fully furnished and move-in ready. Residents typically have access to a furnished bedroom, shared kitchen, living areas, laundry, and basic household supplies. Utilities are generally included. The specific amenities available in each home may vary — please ask us about the particulars for any home you are considering for a client placement. Our goal is always for residents to arrive and feel immediately at home, without the stress of setting up a new household from scratch.
Payment options depend on the individual's circumstances and the program. Many residents pay privately using personal funds, family support, or income. We also work with clients who receive general assistance, social security benefits, veterans benefits, or other public income sources. Depending on the program and location, some placements may be eligible for assistance through county or state programs. We encourage referral partners to share a client's financial situation during the intake process so we can identify the most appropriate options together.
Our housing fees are generally not billed directly to Medi-Cal or private insurance, as we provide housing — not licensed clinical services. However, residents who are enrolled in Medi-Cal or other benefit programs are welcome, and those benefits can support their participation in outside treatment or support services while living in our homes. We are happy to discuss financial circumstances during the referral process to help determine what options may be available for a specific client.
We understand that financial instability is often part of the story for the people we serve. We approach each situation individually and work with referral partners to identify possible funding sources, sliding scale options where available, or other community resources that may help bridge a gap. We are committed to not turning away individuals based solely on their financial situation without first exploring what options exist. Please contact us to have an open conversation about a client's specific circumstances.
Fee structures, including any move-in costs or deposits, vary by program and location. We will always be transparent about all costs before a placement is confirmed — there are no hidden fees. During the intake and admissions process, we will clearly outline what financial commitments are expected and work with you and the client to make the transition as smooth as possible.
